Godly Time Management – The Time You Have (In JellyBeans)

Psalm 90:12 (KJV)

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

Godly time management: Using our time in a way that is pleasing and profitable to God (a.k.a. worshiping God with our time). 1 Corinthians 10:31 (NKJV) states, “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” Please take a few minutes to watch the YouTube video below:

Listening to my Pastor speak, she pointed out that Jesus was always in perfect timing with God The Father’s Will. The people around Him, His friends and family, did not always understand Jesus’s sense of time. For example The Death and Resurrection of Lazarus (the book of John chapter 11), when Lazarus was dying Jesus tarried. He did not rush to Lazarus’s side. Jesus magnified God’s Glory even more by not healing a sick friend but rather raising a man from the dead. Jesus clearly knew His mission and purpose. In raising Lazarus from the dead Jesus provides us with a symbolic reference that His purpose was to bring us (sinners) who were dead to God the Father back to Him by raising us out of our spiritual deadness into new life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

In thinking on this, I am reminded to spend my time wisely by presenting my life to God as His servant. That in all things whether I am alone, at work, at home or enjoying time with family and friends, wherever and whatever I am doing God is with me and I am with Him. Therefore, I need to act and interact in a way that is pleasing to God!
